Management

The University of Oxford was the coordinating partner in charge of reporting, finance, contractual issues and management. As such, the Project Office organised the annual consortium meetings, identified milestone deadlines and drove the consortium to our shared end goals. The University of Oxford was also responsible for the reporting and financial aspects of the project, as well as governance and audit.

 

Objectives for this work package were:

 

  • to coordinate COPE to ensure successful delivery of project milestones and deliverables
  • to establish the governance framework and co-ordinate Management Board meetings
  • to coordinate budgetary and financial aspects
  • to coordinate interim and final scientific and financial reports to the European Commission
  • to establish effective lines of communication with Partners and the European Commission

 

By the conclusion of the project, the COPE Project Office & Management delivered:

  • 1 kick-off meeting
  • 5 Annual meetings with over 50 participants
  • 2 official amendment processes with the EU Commission
  • 4 financial and scientific interim reports towards the EU Commission
  • Final reports to the EU Commission, including reports on 18 of 20 deliverables
  • Various communication activities including bi-monthly newsletters, website updates, conference boothsg, and communication materials such as banners and flyers
  • Over 30 contracts including equipment agreements, sponsorship contracts and site agreements
